C. Kallang Bay (or Basin)

Kallang is probably best known for being the location of the Singapore Indoor Stadium & the old National Stadium, as well as the new Singapore Sports Hub. The Kallang River which meanders through the area is famous for its water sports. The area is drained by the Kallang, Geylang, Rochor and Whampoa rivers, and the Pelton Canal. The Kallang River, the longest river in Singapore, meanders through the area, and is a popular waterway for water sports. The Singapore National Stadium is located at Kallang, was demolished to make way for the Singapore Sports Hub which is going to be ready in June 2014

Nearby famous residential areas include Tanjong Rhu Estate and Lavendar/Beach Road residences.

D. Katong

Filled with history as well as promise of the future, Katong remains to be a popular place in Singapore — generations come and settle down in this unique place.Katong is a residential area in the east of Singapore near the seafront. Formerly located by the sea, land was reclaimed all the way to East Coast Park to provide more land for housing and recreational purposes due to shortage of land in the late 1960s after Singapore gained independence.Katong was the location of many villas and mansions of the wealthy in the late 19th to the mid 20th centuries, who made their fortunes in the Far East and built seaside resorts, villas and manors along the beachfront of Katong, beginning from Katong Park to the end of the East Coast. Newer houses as well as cluster homes also bloomed in this heritage area.
